I proudly offer a range of custom jewelry design services to bring your personal project to life. From sketch, to model, to the finished piece, every item is created with old world craftsmanship and a loving attention to detail.
During a free consultation we discuss your design idea, budget, and timeline to see if we're a good fit.
We hone in on the design of your jewelry through a round of artist renderings, wax models or both.
We work with our trusted vendors to present you a selection of diamonds or gemstones that suit your design and budget. You choose your favorite.
Your project takes shape! We create your finished piece using the design you've approved and the materials you've selected.
Your jewelry is complete and ready to present. We ship the finished piece to you, or you can pick up from my San Francisco Studio.
“I have never been so in love with a piece of jewelry. It’s exactly what I wanted and came out better than I ever imagined. I wear it everyday.”
“Corey is a creative designer that thrives on collaboration with her clients. She’s very professional, thoughtful, and communicates very well throughout the process. ”
In most cases, the full custom design process takes between 4 and 8 weeks. The design discovery phase, which includes your consultation, design, and gemstone sourcing, typically takes the first 2 -3 weeks of that window. The creation phase of your item will take an additional 2 to 5 weeks depending on the complexity of your design and the lead times in our studio.
Custom designs begin at $1500. The finished piece of your design will depend on the materials you select, the complexity of your design, and the current metal markets.
I happily create custom designs in the precious metals listed below. For more info on these choices, read my precious metals comparison.
Due to the large time investment for custom pieces, I do not create custom work in sterling silver.
I only work with customer stones that are diamond, sapphire, ruby or other similar gemstones ranking an 8 or higher on the MOHS hardness scale. We will inspect your gems together [for quality, scratches, cracks, etc.] to determine if they are a good candidate for use in a new design.
My commitment to sustainability means I like to recycle and reuse wherever I can. Customers can provide their old precious metal jewelry to recycle for credit towards their custom design project. The value will vary based on the jewelry you provide and the current metals market.
In some cases, I may be able to use the exact gold you provide in the new design. Currently this process is only offered for yellow and rose gold jewelry (white gold often becomes too brittle upon recasting.) The jewelry you provide must be of the same color and karat as the finished piece we are creating. A minimum amount of metal is required for the casting process to work.
I'm a small studio that is only equipped to handle repairs on the jewelry I create. If you need a jeweler who performs repairs I am happy to offer a recommendation. Please do not bring items for repair to your custom design consultation.
