Best Travel Jewelry Cases - 2017
Around these parts, the holidays equate to two sure-fire things: I'm gonna have to travel, and I'll need to come bearing gifts.
In the coming weeks I'll pack my bags more than once to visit friends and family. And each time I'll arrive with a present in hand. When I'm not gifting jewelry, I like giving items that are practical and stylish too.
If you have a jewelry lover on your list, odds are they could use a thoughtful way to carry their treasures on the go. Below are my ten favorite travel cases for sale this holiday. Just toss them in your carry-on ...and away you go!
1. Caroline Quilted Jewelry Portfolio - Wolf
This jewelry portfolio is hands down my favorite in the pack. Wolf crafted this case with a stylish quilted leather exterior and a thoughtful, anti-tarnish interior. I love that the ring bar is separate from the earring strip, and that the center pocket adds padding between the two sides while providing a handy place for oddly sized bracelets and earrings. I also prefer pouches with a fully zippered enclosure, and this case checks that box beautifully.
2. Square Travel Jewelry Case - Mark & Graham
A sturdy four sided box with a full zipper enclosure makes this mark and graham case a rough-and-tumble choice. This case earns bonus points for having slotted ring storage that keeps each ring from rubbing against the next. Tucked behind the handy mirror are elegant snaps and a pouch for storing necklaces.
3. McKenna Jewelry Portfolio - Pottery Barn
I’m drawn to the McKenna for the ample zippered pockets. They’re perfect for storing pieces like a few statement earrings or a big bib necklace when you're packing for a wedding weekend. Again, Pottery Barn makes me super happy by keeping the ring bar separate from the earring strip. The soft protector panel also keeps the jewelry on the left from scratching the jewelry on the right. Thoughtful and practical!
4. Genoa Stella Jewelry Case - Hudson & Bleecker
I love the stylish faux snakeskin of the Stella Jewelry Case and the full zipper around the exterior so you can open it nice and wide. The extra pouches for bracelets or statement necklaces are super practical. I also love the smaller size of this case. It's just right for tossing in a weekender or oversized hobo bag.
5. Just Go Travel Jewelry Case - Nomad Lane
Nothing’s worse than opening a jewelry case to find that your chains still managed to tangle, so I love the thoughtful double-sided necklace snaps on this case from Nomad Lane. They ensure that each of your pretties stays in place. The exterior of this case is made with vegan leather.
6. Cameron Jewelry Case - Mele & Co.
A hard-sided case to hold all of your tiny-shinies. The Mele case has lots of little compartments to give you space to store each item separately. Sadly, there’s no place for keeping your chains straight and tidy, so is probably best for storing small earrings and rings.
7. Jewelry Case - Cuyana
This leather pouch has a roomy interior and a versatile strip for holding earrings or rings. I love the color palette and charming tassles. It doesn’t have many dedicated pockets or dividers to speak of, so this might be a great case for carrying that funky shaped bib necklace or chunky bangles on the go.
8. Leather Travel Jewellery Roll - Abokika
A truly beautiful handmade jewelry roll. I love the sturdy look of the vegetable tanned leather and stitching. This case has a refined yet rustic look and a center snap-in strap that can hold earrings on one side and rings on the other.
9. Sitting Pretty Case - This is Ground
The small weekender size of the Sitting Pretty Case is the perfect fit for your purse or carryon. The assortment of snaps and straps give versatile storage for everything from necklaces to rings. But really, it's the fun shape and vibrant colors that make this jewelry case a home run.
10. Jewelry Travel Roll - Tumi
You’ve probably noticed my affinity for zippered pockets, and this roll has a zippered pouch for every.single.thing. I especially love those roomy ones for big bracelets and necklaces. The luggage pros at Tumi know a thing or two about creating durable cases, so I'll bet this roll is built to last a lifetime.
