Transform Your Old Gold Into Something New
Do you have a drawer full of old jewelry that you never wear? That broken chain from years ago, the ring that no longer fits, or perhaps pieces that hold memories you'd rather reimagine? Instead of letting that precious metal collect dust, why not transform it into something you'll actually love to wear?
Our gold recycling service lets you breathe new life into your existing pieces, creating custom jewelry that's both meaningful and sustainable. It's one of my favorite services to offer because there's something deeply satisfying about taking jewelry with history and giving it a fresh start.
How Your Gold Gets a Second Life
The process is surprisingly straightforward. We take your old gold pieces and use them as the raw material for your new custom design. Whether it's melting down a collection of mismatched earrings into a stunning statement ring or transforming your grandmother's dated necklace into modern everyday pieces, the possibilities are endless.
The best part? You're not just getting beautiful new jewelry – you're also making an environmentally conscious choice by recycling existing materials rather than mining new gold.
What Gold Works Best
For the most successful results, your gold should be the same color and karat weight. Think all 14k yellow gold pieces together, for example. This ensures consistent color and quality in your finished piece. While we don't recommend using white gold due to casting stability issues, we can always recycle mixed metals for scrap credit toward your new design.
If you have diamonds or gemstones in your old pieces, we carefully remove them (for a small fee). Often these reclaimed stones are in good condition and can be incorporated into your new design, adding even more personal history to your piece.

Understanding the Investment
Our gold recycling service starts at $350, covering all shipping and casting fees with our refiner.
Here's something important to know about the casting process: it requires more gold than just what ends up in your finished piece. The molten metal needs a pathway to flow into your jewelry mold, which requires additional components called the button and sprue. These technical elements typically weigh about the same as your finished piece—meaning you'll need roughly double the gold for the complete casting process.
For example: a 5-gram ring requires about 10 grams total to cast successfully.
Don't have enough gold? No problem. We'll add whatever additional metal is needed at current market price. Once casting is complete, that leftover button and sprue gold is yours to keep, or we can offer you scrap credit based on market rates.
More Than Just Recycling
What makes this service special isn't just the sustainability aspect – it's the emotional connection. There's something powerful about taking jewelry that represents one chapter of your life and transforming it into pieces that reflect who you are today. It's a way to honor the past while embracing the present.
