I am excited show you what I've been working on!
I have a collection of boulder opals in my studio, sourced directly from an Australian miner who told me exactly which region of the country each one came from. Those details matter to me, and it shows up in the stones themselves.

Boulder opals are opals that still contain visible bits of their host rock. That rock is actually the key to knowing which mine each gem came from, and I love that they carry that history with them. I'm setting them in open-back bezels so you can still see that part of their story.

I'm creating these in a style that's a little new for me. Same handcrafted sensibility you know, but I've been playing with the composition and I think you're going to love where this is headed. Today I'm sharing the gems and their golden bezels. The finished pendants are coming soon.
