    FAQ

What's the minimum price for a custom piece?

The minimum for fully custom pieces is $3,000. Pricing varies depending on the complexity of your design, materials, and gemstones.

If your budget is under $3,000, I recommend considering an item from my existing collection with modifications instead. Modifications can include using another gemstone, an alternate metal, or changing proportions. These options often provide the personalized touch you're looking for at a more accessible price point.

Please include your desired budget on the custom inquiry form. This helps me understand your needs and quickly determine if your project is feasible within your range, or if I should suggest an existing design with modifications that could work within your budget.

Can you use my existing diamonds or gemstones?

Yes! Your gemstones must be 8 or higher on the MOHS hardness scale (diamonds, sapphires, rubies, etc.). We'll inspect your stones together to determine if they're suitable candidates for your custom design. Aurora collection pieces work particularly well with heirloom stones.

Can you incorporate my old gold jewelry?

Sometimes. Using your existing gold requires a minimum amount for the casting process and has associated fees, so it's not always a cost savings.

I can work with your yellow or rose gold, but white gold becomes too brittle when recast. There's a $300 handling fee, plus a small charge for each stone removed. You'll typically need 3x the weight of the finished piece for the casting process to work. During your design appointment we can evaluate your old gold to determine if recasting makes sense both practically and financially.

How Long Does a Custom Project Take?

Projects typically take 8 weeks from approval to completion, but this timeline depends on the complexity of your design and material sourcing. I'll give you a specific timeline during our consultation based on your particular project.

Our wedding and engagement rings are beautiful and exquisitely crafted, and Corey was a joy to work with. The engagement ring, a custom design, needed a Montana sapphire in the blue of C's eyes. Corey brought in potential stones, sent photos and videos of them, and we repeated the process until we got it right. To choose wedding rings, we visited Corey's gorgeous, light-filled studio. She showed us the products of her unique artistic vision and meticulous skills, and we chose these fabulous rings that we love so much.

Corey is a highly dedicated artisan, and her expertise shines through every step of the process in helping us create our wedding rings. From our initial conversation, where we shared our lives and passions, to receiving the thoughtful sketches via email and text, we felt deeply connected and fully involved throughout the entire process. We are thrilled with the final result and couldn’t be more delighted with how deeply personal the rings feel—something we will treasure for a lifetime. On top of that, the value is unmatched, considering the care and craftsmanship that went into creating such meaningful wedding rings. With so many options for jewelry out there, I wholeheartedly recommend booking an appointment with Corey.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience working with Corey on our wedding bands. I am not familiar with wearing jewelry and it was invaluable for us to be able visit her studio to try on the different rings, see the finishes IRL, and walk through the options/process/timeline. Corey was very gracious with her studio time and very communicative in email before and after the visit.

Ultimately we landed on the Yosemite style with added interior engraving and an in-between width and I couldn't be happier!
